What is BarnBridge?
BarnBridge, established in 2019 by Troy Murray and Tyler Ward, is a DeFi protocol built on Ethereum that focuses on risk tokenization. This open-source platform enables users to mitigate interest rate volatility in DeFi markets such as Compound and Aave. By exchanging variable yield for a fixed rate, individuals can then borrow against this fixed rate.
The governance of the protocol is facilitated by BarnBridge DAO, utilizing its native ERC-20 token called BOND. In September 2022, BarnBridge introduced the second version of its protocol, known as BarnBridge v2.
