The Outerbridge team encountered a challenge while developing applications for clients on various blockchains at their workplace. They realized that they had to write numerous custom scripts to facilitate interaction between on-chain data and internal tools. Although existing automation tools were effective for Web2 applications, none of them met their specific requirements.

To address this issue, the team created Outerbridge with a clear objective in mind: to simplify Web3 automation through two key features. Firstly, they aimed to provide a low or no code interface, making it easier for users to automate their tasks. Secondly, they focused on API integrations to enhance interoperability between Web3 and Web2 applications.

Outerbridge offers a user-friendly drag and drop interface, empowering users to construct robust workflows by connecting different application nodes. For example, users can set up a workflow where, upon receiving a smart contract event, a Discord message is sent, followed by an update to a Google Sheet.
