Scientific innovation has been hindered by institutional constraints, such as selective funding and misaligned incentives. The DeSci movement seeks to overcome these limitations by decentralizing key elements like institutional gatekeepers, funding bodies, and publication journals, thus returning science to the people. Traditional academia also grapples with a lack of diversity and representation. However, the current DeSci community is still in its early stages and lacks organization. DeSciWorld aims to tackle this challenge by serving as a comprehensive entry point into the DeSci space, providing valuable resources and becoming a central hub for the DeSci community.
